Ryse Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 24, 2026

Overview

Ryse is designed to keep routine content and media locally on your device. It does not require a Ryse account and does not include advertising, third-party tracking, analytics SDKs, cloud sync, or automatic media upload.

Purchases and Subscriptions

Ryse uses Apple In-App Purchase and RevenueCat to offer and manage subscriptions, check whether access is active, and restore purchases. For this purpose, purchase history and an automatically generated anonymous app user identifier are sent to RevenueCat. Ryse does not send your name, routine content, photos, videos, audio, or camera analysis to RevenueCat.

Purchase information is used only to provide app functionality and is not used for advertising or tracking. Apple processes payment details; Ryse does not receive or store your full payment card information. RevenueCat’s handling of purchase data is also governed by its privacy policy.

Routine and Alarm Data

Alarm times, repeat schedules, routine steps, completion history, and streak information are stored on your device so Ryse can run your routine and show your progress.

Camera, Photos, and Movement

Ryse requests camera access only for steps you start, such as movement counting or a water photo. Pose processing runs on the device. Photos and short movement clips used by a routine remain local and are not uploaded by Ryse.

Ryse can cover your face in saved movement clips with an on-device visual mask. When this setting is enabled, Ryse uses temporary pose landmarks to position the mask and saves only frames in which the mask was applied. If Ryse cannot position or render the mask, that frame is not saved. Face landmarks are not used to identify you and are not stored or uploaded.

Learning, Text, and Audio

Vocabulary answers, text practice, reflections, and user-started audio may be stored as local app data. Ryse does not send this content to a server.

Results and Sharing

Ryse may generate a result image or video on your device after a routine. Nothing is shared automatically. A result leaves the app only when you choose a system sharing or export action.

Retention and Deletion

Local routine history is kept until you delete it or remove the app. Ryse does not maintain a server account or a separate server copy of your routine data. Purchase records may be retained by Apple and RevenueCat as needed to provide subscriptions, restore access, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.

Changes

If Ryse adds cloud services, analytics, advertising, accounts, or other data collection, this policy and the App Store privacy information will be updated before those changes are released.
